The Full Story
Hi, I'm Joe from Joe Works. I've worked in the construction industry for over 18 years. My first four years saw me apprentice under a skilled man who at the time had over 20 years’ experience, he was my uncle and had given me my first job. Through his tutelage I began my love for the craft and the joy a job well done could bring. Unfortunately, the 2008 housing crash left us unable to maintain a steady work flow and I was forced to seek another profession. Believing in God, Family, and Country I decided to join the U.S. Air Force. Joining the military as both my brothers had before me was an easy choice, but choosing a job was not. After much deliberation I decided I wanted to help people and becoming a firefighter was a logical conclusion. I served for 6 years and had one deployment to Iraq. Through those years I learned the Airforce values and how to operate under the most difficult of situations.
After retiring from the military, I returned to construction and rediscovered my love for the craft. I've traveled to multiple states under different banners running crews as large as 50 people, from residential to commercial. Through these times I studied multiple trades and learned from some of the best in the field. When I settled in Georgia in 2020 the industry had seen severe setbacks. I fell in love with North Georgia and decided it was time to set my roots, and so this beautiful state became my home. The time came where I outgrew my employment and decided it was time to venture out on my own.
What is a construction job boiled down to its essence? It is a puzzle, and I love solving puzzles. So, if you would allow me into to your home to help solve the puzzles that plague you, I would love to share my wealth of knowledge and my joy of problem solving. I will leave you with the Air Force core values, something that has guided my life and I have implemented in all my work. Integrity first, Service before self and Excellence in all we do!
